Matt and his team are amazing. In July we had a tree fall on our house, doing a great deal of damage. A friend highly recommended Matt, for good reason. Matt was here two hours after I called him, a crew of guys in tow to board up broken windows, put tarps on my roof, and make sure the house was sealed up. The next day was a Saturday, and Matt was here again with his crew to rip down wet drywall and ensure the water that entered the house was mitigated. Then he agreed to take on the rebuild of the damage. He pulled permits, sourced materials, scheduled subcontractors, and kept me in the loop every step of the way. He and his team repaired broken trusses, fixed the roof, replaced windows, repaired drywall, painted, rebuilt the front porch, replaced siding, and so much more. A broken water heater discharged most of the tank throughout the basement, including the crawl space. While we had cleaned up a godly amount of water, there was quite a bit in the crawl space, and I was concerned about wet insulation and the wood framing in addition to water underneath the shelving and storage in the basement. I called Cleanbright in the early afternoon, and Matt called back within the hour. He came over that same afternoon to determine what needed to be done, and returned later to set up the fans and dehumidifiers to dry out the basement. He set everything up, and gave me the time frame expected to dry the basement thoroughly so there would be no mold or mildew. He also called the day after the equipment was put in to check on how things were going. Matt returned again the next day and checked the basement, which was completely dry, from insulation to wood, and he removed all the equipment quickly and neatly. We were very pleased with the service and fast response and the good results. I would use them again and recommend Matt and his company highly.

Everything went great!!!! If you are looking for someone to do drywall repair, make sure you call CleanBright Surface Restoration. This was an insurance claim and Matt worked very well with our insurance company. He provided the details that our insurance company needed, and they accepted his quote and we were able to get the water damage repaired. Matt and his staff are very easy to work with. He listened to what we wanted, came to us with questions, and made sure we were satisfied with his work. They are very polite, professional and punctual. When they ran into challenges during the repair, they always talked with us about what the issue was and were always able to come up with a solution. For example, even though our living room wasn’t quite square, they were able to cope the molding so you would never know. I was amazed at how well they cleaned up at the end of the project. You wouldn’t have even known they were there except for the brand new ceiling!

Our finished basement flooded due to heavy rain in the late evening. I discovered the flood in the early morning. The entire finished basement (carpeted) was flooded with freestanding water everywhere. I immediately knew I couldn’t tackle this job myself. So I selected CleanBright Surface Restoration based on their feedback and I’m so glad I did. I called Matt at 7:00 am and he returned my call within 20 minutes! I was very happy when Matt told me he would be at my house by 9:00 am. At 9:00 am on the nose, Matt and his fantastic crew arrived and immediately got to work. Not only did they remove the carpet and damaged furniture, but they also removed a very heavy TV. These guys were awesome to work with! They were very polite, and just nice people! By 4:00 of working non-stop, other than taking a very short lunch break, only 30 minutes, the basement was drying. They left 10 air dryers and two industrial dehumidifiers running. Matt came to the house every morning for the next three days to test the walls to make sure they were properly drying and to move the dryers to different places in the basement. He also applied a mold inhibitor to the floor. On Sunday, all of the moisture readings were back to normal and Matt removed the equipment. If you need a professional, polite and hardworking company to restore your house after a flood or any other event, I would highly recommend Matt and the CleanBright Surface Restoration crew!

We have 4 rooms in our basement. When we bought the house 3 weeks ago, we bought it with a finished basement. But after ripping up the moldy 40+ year old carpet, we discovered that the double layer of floating plywood flooring was rotting from water damage. Matt and his brother removed I have no idea how many dumpsters worth of drop ceiling tiles that were infested with mice pellets (sorry guys), sheet rock, pine paneling (the largest room was wall-to-wall pine paneling with built-in display cases, fireplace, and a huge wet bar that needed to be totally demo’d to get out the door), flooring, very old tiling, etc. After they got down to the cinder blocks and concrete floor, they did the mold remediation. They checked in every step of the way to highlight potential issues/ask questions. In addition to being polite, professional, likable guys, they did an awesome job for a very reasonable price (it took a full week of hard labor, plus several trips to the landfill that was :30 min away). They are in the process of providing us with estimates for some additional work that we are looking to have done in our house. Very happy with CleanBright!

Matt was and his team were amazing! To begin with he responded to my voicemail within 5 minutes and said he would come look at my situation in 1 hour. He was there in the said 1 hour. He looked at the damage I had and said he would leave to go get men and equipment from another job and return in 1.5 hrs. And, again he returned in the promised amount of time. By the end of the afternoon all the wet carpet had been removed, furniture moved and mold discovered. He suggested a mold expert (I had no idea who to call), called him and set it up for him to contact me. Once the mold expert came and did his inspection and issued his report Matt and his team returned and followed the report to safely and appropriately remove all the moldy materials.
After that work was done, several days of dehumidifiers running and a follow up onsite review and report by the mold expert giving the all clear Matt and his crew started rebuilding my basement. He had good suggestions and the work was completed to my wishes and satisfaction! I found Matt to be honest, trustworthy and committed to making my finished basement the way I wanted it. He stayed in constant touch via text with me and got back to me quickly answering and questions I had. Exceptional results from an honest and diligent contractor! After a relative in Troy, NY passed away at home, our family (all of whom live downstate or outside of New York) searched for a contractor who could perform a whole house cleanout and then remediate years of accumulated tar and nicotine buildup from the interior of the house (our relative was a heavy smoker). We met Matt from Cleanbright Surface Restoration early in our search, and he proved to be a real blessing.
He was courteous, genuinely compassionate, and so easy to work with. He gave us a very reasonable quote for the job and then spent the better part of 2 weeks with his crew, clearing everything out of the house and the two garages on the property, removing the carpeting and cleaning the nicotine coating from the interior surfaces of the house, and then priming the walls and ceilings with a primer/sealer. We also had him replace a damaged acoustic tile ceiling in the living room with drywall, and he even did some minor plumbing work for us. He was so trustworthy and professional throughout the entire process that we didn’t hesitate to leave the house keys with him during the project.
The results were amazing – a complete transformation of the home, all at the agreed price! We’re so happy that we hired Matt and his company; we feel truly lucky that we found a contractor who was so reliable and honest and did such a great job!
